GE Healthcare HiTrap Desalting Column

HiTrap Desalting is a ready-to-use 5 ml column, prepacked with Sephadex G-25 Superfine, for fast and convenient desalting and buffer exchange.

  • Handles sample volumes of 1.5 ml, or larger volumes by connecting up to five columns in series.
  • Replaces dialysis as the method of choice for desalting.
  • Desalting requires less than one minute due to the high rigidity of Sephadex G-25 and the optimised packing technology.

HiTrap Desalting is a prepacked, ready to use column for group separation between high and low molecular weight substances, i.e., buffer exchange prior to or after different chromatographic steps, removal of low molecular weight contaminants or removal of reagents to terminate a reaction

HiPrep 26/10 Desalting columns are a convenient, easy-to-use column prepacked 53 ml column with Sephadex G-25 Fine for desalting and buffer exchange.

  • Provide reliable and reproducible desalting and buffer exchange with sample sizes of up to 15 ml per column.
  • Replaces dialysis for desalting and therefore saves time and reduces labor.
  • Two or four columns can be used in series for sample sizes of 30 to 60 ml.

Pd Miditrap G-25

  • Sample preparation in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 ml for gravity and 0.75 to 1.0 ml with centrifugation.

PD MidiTrap G-25 is designed for convenient desalting and buffer exchange of biological samples and volumes up to 1.0 ml can be handled. For larger scale please use PD-10 Desalting column (2.5 ml) and for smaller scale, PD MiniTrap G-25 (0.5 ml), PD SpinTrap G-25 (130 µl) and PD MultiTrap G-25 (130 µl in parallel)

Pd Minitrap G-10

 PD MultiTrap G-25 is designed for high-throughput desalting and buffer exchange of multiple samples. The 96-well plates are prepacked with 500 μl SephadexTM G-25 Medium/well for high reproducibility. The plate material is biocompatible polypropylene.

GE Healthcare Mini Dialysis Kits

The disposable tubes in Mini Dialysis Kit offer a simple solution to the handling problems of small volume dialysis. The dialysis tubes in the kit each have a cap that incorporates a small disk of dialysis membrane

  • Designed for efficient dialysis of small sample volumes.
  • Uses disposable dialysis tubes with dialysis membrane incorporated into caps.
  • Conical tube bottom maximises sample recovery

Dialysing small samples can be difficult and inefficient when the sample must be transferred into and out of dialysis bags and centrifuge tubes. The disposable tubes in Mini Dialysis Kit offer a simple solution to the handling problems of small volume dialysis.

The dialysis tubes in the kit each have a cap that incorporates a small disk of dialysis membrane. Samples are easily pipetted into and removed from the conical bottom of the tube. The capped tube is inserted into a float and then, with the cap and membrane down, placed in a stirred beaker containing the desired dialysis solution.

Following dialysis, the tube is centrifuged briefly. This brings the entire contents of the tube back to the conical bottom for maximum recovery. The dialysed sample can be stored in the same tube by simply replacing the dialysis cap with a standard cap.

GE Healthcare SDSPAGE Cleanup Kit

SDS-PAGE Clean-Up Kit is designed to prepare samples for SDS-PAGE that are frequently difficult to analyze due to the presence of salts or low protein concentration

SDS-PAGE Clean-Up Kit uses a combination of a precipitant and co-precipitant to quantitatively precipitate the sample proteins while leaving interfering substances in solution. Detergents, salts, lipids, phenolics, and nucleic acids remain soluble while the proteins are pelleted by centrifugation. The precipitate is washed further to remove nonprotein contaminants and centrifuged again. The resultant pellet is resuspended, mixed with SDS-PAGE sample buffer, and heated. The sample is then ready for SDS-PAGE. The procedure can be completed in under 2 h with quantitative yield.
